which header gaskets seal better ..
percy # 66037 or remflex # 6003 ? ?

thanks

... and how many of you go with the philosophy of cutting the header flanges between 1-3, 5-7, 2-4 and 6-8 for better sealing ? ?

thanks

I never even heard of this methodology, but I can see where it might be advantageous if the flange or head isn't perfectly flat.

Curious to hear who has done this...

I k ow guys that swear by the method. I've never had to do it. I've run hookers, headmans and Tti and never had a problem sealing them at the head.

I have Percy's on the Duster. They work great. As far as cutting flanges.
Isn't 3-5 on the same flange and 4-6 also. Don't get the 1-3& 5-7. 2-4&6-8.
I can see cutting the whole flange asm between the outer ports and the
center ones so to cut down the chance of leaks if it's warped.

i havent used remfex, i am using percys dead soft aluminum now on my RHS headed 318 with TTI headers.. No leaks here. im a believer. lol

i used the same gaskets on my old iron heads with bent to hell rusted hooker headers. nothin could stop them from leaking. i installed the percys gaskets and it sealed right up...i think they both are a nice gasket.

Used Remflex, nice product.Percys,I sell a few,no complaints. An old trick with standard header gaskets.
