rocker noise

just finished building 383 its all stock parts. after finally getting some wiring issues resolved i now have a lifter noise. is changes with rpm. it wasnt there untill today. any idea where to even start? oil pressure is 40 hot. oil is full and motor hasent got two hours on it yet.
 
Two things come to mind, you did the breakin properly, correct? Secondly did you orient the rocker shafts correctly? If you have one or both installed incorrectly you aren't oiling properly.
 
well figured it out. a push rod went through a rocker. only part i didnt replace. figures.
 
good grief. factory steel rockers are imposible to find. anyone have a lead on any. im wanting to replace all rockers and push rods. summit has the right side only. mancini is out of stock. same for jegs and speedway.
 
Put an ad in parts wanted here.You would be shocked ,how many B/RB guys sell/dwell here.
 
Damn-if I were home I'd offer mine up...stock of a '68 383...if you can't find any by about 6 nov (that's when I'll be back in town), give me a shout and you can have mine for the cost of shipping.
