front end kit

I will leave the opinions up to the members of the board, but we do offer various front end kits in rubber or polygraphite

Thanks
James

I found the best thing to do is use cbody tie rods and sleeve all said $100.00 at autozone 2 inners 2outers 2 sleeves. I ask for 74 fury parts. the cheap way to stiffen your steering is to weld your existing sleeves shut.

I was just looking at your site. I like the 155 off but the bad thing is I have to wait until after Christmas lol. Th ewife wants something that costs about the same. Well I told her no and she got mad at me. But what she don't know is I had already bought what she wanted and I had to hide it from her.

Will the c body stuff work? I have a steering box that is almost like running a rack set up.

I read about in mopar muscle years ago and have done it to all my abodies it was miraculos especially in my power steering cars. Much fatter tie rod ends same size posts just drop in to lower ball joints and idler/pitman. You'll need an alignment. Good time to replace all the rubber bushings upper and lower control arms.

yes the c body tie rod end and sleeves will work we offer them as an upgrade on our front end kits and supply solid adjusting sleeves.

Down to NAPA and buy all the parts. Not a fan of Poly stuff......

If you don't mind me asking? What would that kit cost?

If you buy a super front end kit weather it be a poly or rubber kit the cost is an additional $29 for the solid adjusting sleeve but no additional charge to upgrade to the 11/16" tie rod ends.

Thanks
James

One thing, if you are partial to a brand, say moog, you may not get those parts in a kit from some providers if it's not specified.

Look around at places like rockauto and Amazon. I've found some great deals on moog and raybestos pro grade front end parts on those sites.

Here's a good list of moog front end components from big block dart.

So here is maybe a dumb question. How much is it gona help and how? 29 bucks isn't gona break me but I was just wondering.

Quick question on bushings, do I need to buy 2 of both the upper control arm bushing kits (i.e. moog#k408) & 2 of the Eccentric bushing kits (i.e. #k7103) when putting together a rebuild kit? or does the k408 only require 1 kit?

Also on cam & bolt kits like #k7030 are the eccentric bushings included or are they to be purchased separately?

I have the PST super poly setup, everything you'll need

You may want to try the PST kit. It comes poly graphite bushings and all patrs except torsion bars. It will run you about $400.00
Thanks I think thats is what Im going to do. I want to repalce everything. My dad said it was all new. I said really? Yep when we built the car I replaced everything. I said dad I was 14 and now Im 33! that old fart lol

Just picked up a front end kit from PSC for my 68 Barracuda. Shipping is free and phone orders qualify for a 10% discount..so make sure you call rather than order online.
I have nothing against PST, just not sure where their hard parts are manufactured. The hard parts I received from PSC are manufactured by McQuay-Norris and are considered a quality part.

I personally wouldn't get poly. It's like you're paying more money for a noisy and squeaky suspension.

Is this just for a daily driver or are you trying to go fast or what? A lot of times people will tell you to upgrade this or that while you have everything apart. It makes perfect sense but sometimes it's just not a necessary upgrade for what you're wanting to get out of the car and you end up spending the money for nothing. It's best to make a plan for what you want the car to feel like when you're finished and then take a look at your budget and decide what upgrades you really want or not.

I used a McQuay-Norris kit on my Duster and I've been happy with it so far but the boots they come with aren't that great and blow out after a few years. I'd buy extra boots if I was going with their stuff.

I just did a regular PST suspension rebuild last summer on another car. I ruined one of the lower control arm bushings and went to Napa and picked up a MOOG bushing. It was the exact same bushing that came with the PST kit. The numbers were the same and the rubber said "Harris" on it. I think PST kits are made up of different brands but I felt good knowing there were MOOG parts and not just cheap chinese garbage.

Its a street/strip car. I just want to put the best parts on the car. I'm building a stroker for the car next year for it. It has moog parts on it now and they have lasted since I was 14.
