What do you guys recommend for front and rear shocks on a 71 Duster 340 4 spd car. Part # and price would be appreciated if you have, if not manufacture. Thanks!

what are you running are you happy with them? I put some Eddys on my 73 charger and changed them after a few months.

Plain Jane Monroe Gasmatics at Summit Racing. $15.95 each.Just bought 4 for my 64 Dart.Very good value. Great for everyday driving unless you want something wis-bang for autocross or something.

What do you want to do with it?

For everyday tooling around i've enjoyed the QA1 shocks. I've run the comp enginering 3 way adjustables as well. Currently running lakewood drag shocks.

"Everyday tooling around" QA1? Really? Overkill dude.

KYB will do the job.

I don't need QA1 shocks, or there price tag! and it is just for everyday tooling around. Trying to stay on a budget and still have a nice ride.

Absolutely nothing wrong with the Monroe gas-charged shocks for a driver. I had a set on my GTS that were fairly new (in terms of miles, the GTS is sitting at the moment so I didn't think it needed any shocks) that I put on my old 67 Barracuda fastback (383/727 with 340 suspension) and I was happy with the way the car drove.

x 3 on the Gasmatics. Have a set on the Demon. No complaints in aggressive street driving.

I have Delco gas Pleasurizers on the Dart. Works well on my DD. They seem to be a little softer than the Monroes. Cars are kind of an apples to oranges type of comparo, so don't read too much into it.

IMO you're going to pay a lot more for a Bilstein, Koni, de Carbon for a small improvement over a high quality domestic gas charged shock absorber.

I had the QA1's nice shock. performed well. I was happy with them. ...and they are for sale :)

KYBs are a good choice for all around use.... but if its total granny driving, any decent brand shock will be ok

x 4 on the Gasmatics. That's what I put on my wife's dart, great for just driving around and smooth on the highway.

But, if you are looking for or your direction is performance driving, you will want to step up.

X2 on that, nice ride decent price , tuck in asway bar and your all set for a DD with a nice feel.

We offer currently 3 brands of shocks, KYB, Bilsteins and Vi-King Double Adjustable smooth bodied Aluminum shocks. Here is a link to the shocks that we offer. The KYB's are $199 for a set of four( They are not currently list on our site but are in our catalog.) Hope this helps.

Wasn't on a Dart but I ran Billsteins for 100k miles on my 1 ton SD and they were the best.
