OK guys, I am trying to finish up the last minute assembly prior to taking my newly built 340 to the dyno and I have all of these seals and gaskets left over from the kit. Where do they go if anywhere or are these different seals for different small blocks and intake configs? I know the big round one goes to the oil filter adapter, but it was too big. There was a slightly smaller one in the kit that I ended up using. Thanks for the help.

90 degree oil filter adapter uses 3 gaskets total....which look like the two in the front of the big gasket...cork goes inside the adapter on the bolt...other goes on outside and seals the bolt.

the gasket kits fit many engines of different years...

OK gotcha, I will install the cork and smaller gasket on the adapter tomorrow. It is not installed yet. Thank you!

Maybe this will help?

added another picture for you.

Uh Oh...I already installed the harmonic balancer and did not put that felt in there. Does it need to go in there cause that thing was a pain in the *** to install! I had to heat it up then press it on with a installer tool. I really do not want to go through that again but will if needed.

I think you can get by without it, it is designed to keep dust and grit out of the front crank seal. If you have an aftermarket balancer it may not even fit.

As badsport said don't sweat it. It may not even fit a factory balancer and not worth the effort to check at this point. I think the top left o-ring maybe for the oil pump impeller cover, but you probably replaced the whole oil pump - so not an issue?
The last cork one is the gratuitous "Oh crap" where does this go gasket, that comes in every kit. So we can stay awake all night thinking about it. =)~

It seems like the two gaskets on the bottom left be for the A/C compressor. I could be wrong, though.
