1970 340,engine is complete on stand,i have no history of this engine, what cam spect's,compression e.t.c.i was told in 2006 by wiltses towing in salem oregon it came out of a 70 duster,v.i.n # is 0b154306-block #fw340p30030187-casting#2780930-340-5 this ran fine when i bought it then bought many new parts frm huges engines @ mp @edlelbrock air gap intake, has not been installed or run since.have all reciepts for parts i put in ,it was in a huge weird mid-50's studebaker truck.my photo size is to large to post here, sorry about that ! asking $1300 i am new to this site really wish phone #'s were allowed as my computer is basically horrible, located in corvallis oregon, thank you.

Hope this helps...these are from the seller, and he wanted to pass along that he needs to sell quickly if at all possible.

Edit: I forgot to mention these are X heads according to the seller, the valves clearly need set, he said he's not sure what kind of cam is in it. It it used to have a single plane intake, and when the intake was swapped, the lifter valley was clean. Also, the oil pan has been replaced since he bought it...old one was rusty.

What is all the sealer on the head gasket and below the core plugs? Will you crate it so it can be shipped? Thanks Bill

that looks like JB weld to me and I would like to scrap it off and look for a crack before buying it, but that's just me

X2 JB weld is not a good fix for cracked block if you ask me.

hi, yes, very much looks like J B weld. bottom one can be welded, upper one is close under the deck. not so good, torquing head bolts can open the crack up.
