That Red Ford Galaxy struck a chord with me.....
There's something about them that i love. Maybe it's because they look so tough. I remember when they were on the NASCAR circuit. Maybe that's why.
Love the other stuff too, Corvairs and such. I have a soft spot for Corvairs too.
The grille in the copper '69 Valiant 4 door is worth some money if it's any good.
Lots of great stuff there.

I know this is a Mopar website but that Euclid/Terex scraper is cool. My father sold heavy equipment for over 40 years before he died 13 years ago. We worked together at a Terex dealer back in the 70s and I remember going on a few trips running escort as we drove a couple Terex scrapers from N.J. to upstate New York they only went around 30 mph so it took a couple of days. These days scrapers aren`t really used much in construction, back in the day they were, I remember being on a few jobs seeing these old scrapers working being pushed by a big dozer, it was cool. When the Meadowlands here in N.J. ( were this years Super Bowl was) was being built the company I worked for had over 40 machines working there including many scrapers like the one in the picture.

essentially, its like a certificate of ownership that says "this person owns this car with vin # XXXXXXXXXX". In Georgia, you don't need a title to register a car, simply a bill of sale which state "X person is selling X car to Y person for X amount, vin # XXXXXXXXX" But once it goes into a junkyard like this, it doesn't matter if you have a bill of sale or not. That vin is cancelled forever unless you really really feel like going the hassles of trying to pull the car out, (which is against state law in the first place as said vehicle has been deemed unsafe for road use), try and get it past having the salvage title, and then in the end of it all, you get stuck with a "rebuilt title" which pretty much is like "this car is forever stuck in this state unless someone wants to buy it at an extremely deminished value as they will have to get it to pass inspection again" and trust me, trying to even get a new car to pass inspection is so big of a pain, I bet trying it with anything older would be a nightmare that would require a total restoration.

The DODGE letters and 600 emblem's are kind of hard to find too. There is a bigger Dodge emblem that mounts on the side of the hood and looks to be missing and those are hard to find in my book.

I will get pics of the inside J, but those swing out fenders are rotten. The battery tray is so rotted out, it looks like a build sheet a mouse got at. They are rotten all along the inside sadly. But I'm trying to get as many parts off it back in circulation to people who love their trucks

I know you love junkyards, haha, look at your yard:D. Just messin with ya.

That grille on the valiant was thrashed unfortunately. If it was in better shape, I woulda snagged it up and brought it home.

The funny part is that the '79/'80 D100 grill is perfect. this is the second perfect one I have seen, but it doesn't seem like anyone wants them lol

I used to live literally 10 minutes from the Meadowlands.

and thanks for sharing. I honestly had no clue what it was when i snagged a picture, just simply saw something old and cool
 
If there is 2 front sway bars lets get together PanGasket I have an 85 model and I believe an after market one with hardware goes close to 200 bucks

Next time I am down there Memike, I'll see what I can find. There's atleast two R/Cs and there's a pretty good chance they are just laying on top of them on the ground. :glasses7: I'll keep ya posted
 
The company I worked for back then was in Wallington, real close also. I worked there from 74 to 77 as a driver. The equipment dealer is still around but not in New Jersey.

Damn, that looks a lot like Cumming, JOEGA. I spent 20 yrs. in Mayretta, JOEGA, home of the BIG Chicken! LOL You just had to be there! I miss them old Loblolly pines and red clay!

I thought everybody had a few old cars in the barn lot. At least the well todo people. My Daddy never made a trade-in on a new or used car. They were always parked behind the barn in case someone down on their luck might need one. Somebody always seemed to need one. We sold my old wrecked, partially fixed, blue 67 Barracuda for $600. It still ran great, had a black grille surround, black hood and black left fender.

PanGasket - You could grab one of those JY cars, get a bill of sale, come to Tennessee and apply for title. Go back to Georgia and re-title. Problem with that is, or was - if you have a car in Georgia, you have to buy tags every year, whether or not you are driving it. You pay Ad Valorem along with the tag fee. If you don't do that every year, when you go to get new tags or renew, DMV charges you back taxes and a fine.

Then there's emissions testing for Metro Atlanta.
 
Oh - also meant to say here in Tennessee, those are called retirement lots. When you retire, selling parts and scrap is where your retirement money comes from!

They ditched Ad Valorem, now you just pay a fixed percent of your cars value once and then 20$ every year after. I live in Non-admissions country luckily:glasses7: and this place isn't far from Cumming

Dude, ya gotta stop calling 'em "junkyards." To the non-automotive public those cars are junk but not to us automotive aficionados (fancy term for gearheads). The correct terminology is SALVAGE YARDS. Thank you.

HAHAHA!!! You remind me of one of the owners of Pull-A-Part. Anytime you would call the place a junkyard. He'd go, "no no no, that is incorrect Michael, we don't say the J word around here, it is an auto salvage yard"

Though, I am inclined to call it a junkyard when the number of junk '80s-'90s cars outnumbers the good stuff:cheers:

No prob memike! I actually think that black truck has one, but don't quote me yet! Might head down there tomorrow and see. I have other things to check on as well in there for a few other members, so if anyone else wants anything looked into, let me know. I'm a cheap date.:toothy10:

Yep! Everything in there can be bought at a pretty reasonable price. Yeah, there's not a whole lot left on the Dodge C600 as far as saveable body parts go but there is still good odds and ends. The engine is mostly there with a bizarre high mount water pump setup. its a big block, just dunno which yet! I might just grab the high mount timing cover and the unusual parts off of it and whatever anyone needs. This place isn't far out of the way for me and they are pretty cheap too. If I can get some members parts and give myself an excuse to go to more junkyards, I'll be more than happy to do so.

I see a decent looking f-body, what kinda shape is the grille in? you can get a decent amount if its not broken at all
