If you've used them help me figure out how to eliminate the problem areas.

For those of you planning on using them, they are a real MF to install and mine have some bad areas.

HEre are the problme areas I have. They touch the torsion bars. I'm thinking of buying some Schumacher mount shims. It will at best be VERY close to the bars. Do the bars move at all when the front suspension is loaded?

The other bad spot is touching the steering box. Shims shoudl help but again it will at best be TIGHT.

The last spot is that it touches the shifter linkage. Not sure how I can fix this and raising the engine will likely make it worse. I was thinking of swapping the valve body attachment point from under to abouve the VB lever. The other point I haven't a clue.

Unless you are running a coil over setup I would think twice about runing TTI 2" headers.

I bought a set of the 2" but can't comment on the fit yet. They are still in the box.
I take it they must be hitting the inboard side of the steering box for you?
I have cut all the engine mount perches off of my k-frame and have plans to make
mounts that work in what space is available. Not sure how this will work out for me yet.
I left the steering gear mount brackets on the frame as is. Sounds as if they might need to
be moved a bit also.

Torsion bars shouldn't move as suspension goes through its travel. Twisting motion only.
Which k frame and mounts do you have? Power or manual steering box?

Rocco -First, I have some shims PM you address and I will ship them.Out of town right now, so wont go out until Monday.

I did install, and dont have the problems you are describing. Granted #6 needed a hole, needed start #4 bolts before any other.

My transmission is a cable type with the arm/lever modified. Also, my steering box to header clearance is paper thin. Also I have /6 torsion bars, no issues there.

Yes - they are a PITA - started will require engine pull or trans pull, but I really like the power - VERY NICE, help get my car to 12 seconds at 6000 DA. I still have a lot more.

I have a set also. Have not installed them. (Still a work in progress). The TTI footnotes state they will not work with the factory shift linkage. I plan on using the Ididit cable conversion for the shifter. By the way I am retaining the column shift.

Cazbah beat me to it.

Correct and there isn't much room bbetween the header and the passenger inner wheel well either.

SB or /6 Kmember. Schumacher conversion mounts.

Good to know. This is my next task

Didn't think of this as a solution. I'll mic mine tingiht to see what I have.

mine only listed this as an issue with the B & E's and on thier site it says must be modified. I'll have to look into this some more.

Torque Shaft Lever Applications with an Auto Transmission & Floor Shifter will require the adjustable swivel and the lower rod attached to the torque shaft lever to be re-positioned to clear the header collector

Sorry, didn't know you had floor shift. Was looking at notes for column shift.

I have a set now I CANNOT GET ON THE D*** CAR!!!! The pipes are hitting torsion bars on driver side and I think I'm going to find some shims also or going to sell them and just get a new set of fender well headers.
