Made it to the track today (gopro testing)

Got out of bed at 6. Snuck out without waking up the girlfriend or kids. It was a very quit morning. I was thinking to myself, how many of my neighbors got drunk last night. as I opened the garage doors, fired up the air compressor and swapped slicks with my 1/2" impact. After loading up all the tools and spare parts. I got the car onto the trailer and the girlfriend was up. 730 a.m. Called up a buddy that was coming with to the track. Mom arrived to watch the kids and we were on our way. First time using the 2005 hemi ram towing the car trailer. Wayyyyyy better than the 1995 Chevy I used before. Got the car unloaded and it was off to tech inspection. Passed but was warned about some new rule that requires stainless exhaust fastening of some kind. Ran about the same numbers as last year. 7.97 1.79 88.54. Attempted to take the power steering belt off to see if I could pick up a little. Water pump bolt wouldn't quit leaking. My electric fan is in the way of removing the bolt. So we called it a day at 230.

Some time this summer i'll have to make it to Grove Creek, never been there before and its only an hour away, maybe we can plan a day where we can both make it :burnout:

360 stock bottom end, Ede heads (cleaned up), air gap, 750 street hp, ex284, 273 adj rockers, 727 crappy Midwest converter (flashes to 3500), turbo action full manual forward pattern, 8 3/4 3.91's, 26x9.50-15 Hoosier QTP's.

Sounds and looks good. Just looked at my last run and it's nearly identical to yours. My best is a 7.88 at 89. We'd be neck in neck, LOL
 
That's great stuff Sam! Some of the best vid/sound I've seen. Reminds me of 30+ years ago in that type of car, using the forward pattern, which I like, and a minimal burnout. Watching that put's me right back in the seat! I love it, Thank you...:thumbrig:
 
Nice to get out and have some fun. Nothing is broken, that's good.

Keep tuning on it. Change timing a little, squirters, pump cam, tire pressures. It's got some 60' left in it for the et/mph.
 
Interesting....as we are not allowed to mount camera outside of car at Nhra track...and it is enforced in Vegas...LOL
 
I like that the gopro comes with a remote. Editing is not fun and I hate watching videos where they add music.

There was a few cars with gopros outside the car. Maybe they let it slide in Minnesota because we only get 3 months to race hahahahah.

Tried changing jets,timing,air pressure, launch rpm and everything dropped mph. 13-14 psi hooked best, 34 total, 1500 rpm launch. My converter is the problem.

Why are you racing 1/8 mile, on a 1/4 mile track?

Nice videos!!!
 
It's an 1/8 mile track. The closest 1/4 mile track is twice as far (120 miles)
