help replacing floor panel

Welcome from N FLA. Where are you located? You need to tell everybody about yourself and what car. This might be a better way to get some help with this. Bill

If you go to the Welcome wagon thread and say a few things about your car (year and model) and what you want to do you will indeed get some help, but let me say welcome aboard here :glasses7:

need help how to replace floor panels?

Hi, I am no expert..but...u have a unibody that is flexing ..your sheet metal floor is the frame!!...there is no frame...rust is killing the floor area....U.S.Car Tool has frame connecters for about $160.00/pair...your new floor will weld perfectly to these rails....stiffins up the car unbelievable and NO more oil canning when you step onto the floor in the car...when you lift the car to weld keep opening your doors carefully..the door gaps will change...when they are perfect gaps WELD!!!...they are made of much heavier steel than the OEM...depending on your welder guy each one takes about 1 hour to do....minimal grinding may be necessary...well worth the $ and time!!!

want to thank all the info I got so far its been a big help. me and my son are fixing this car up and it's been fun thanks again!

It's a big job. You will become very familiar with the workings of a spot weld cutter.

after two full quarters a trunk floor and drop extensions i hated everything about spot welds and the little rat that put them all on my car lol

good luck i hope the links helped get you in the right direction
