Transmission #1... 833 4 speed from 1973

transmission #2... 230 3 speed from '72

both came from cars built at the Hamtramck, MI plant

Any info on what it came out of or gears?

The 73 4 speed will have the close ratio gearset if it has it's original gearset or it was replaced with original ratio gears.

Close ratio gearset

2.47 1st
1.77 2nd
1.34 3rd
1.00 4th

To spot that is actually has those gears in it when you open the side case the gears will have three stripes on them

Read about it here: http://www.brewersperformance.com/orderinfo.htm
