Hi all. Has anyone used Dougs headers for a swap? I'm putting a 2004 5.7 in a 70 Belvedere wagon, I know its not an A body but didn't get any info on the B body forum. Found a brand new set for $325 for this swap but don't know anything about how well they will fit OR not. TTI are the most popular, but pricy for me right now.

Thanks Darrell

There may be a few more options with the B bodies, like Doug's or Hookers, but TTI is pretty much the only ones available in a full length header for the Gen3s in an A body. Like you said, their a little too pricey for some and depending on whether going with a stock K member or aftermarket, you'll still have to ding them or even smash a bit to get them to fit.

I have an Alterktion front set up with the TTIs that are made to go with that suspension. Given the torsion bars are gone, everything clears great.

Absolutely right about the massaging of a set of headers, don't think I've ever installed any that didn't need a little persuading. Using a stock K and PS,at $325 for raw finish on the Dougs I can "dent or modify" a bit without feeling to much pain lol!

I just ordered my raw set from Summit for $325 (AutoZone price match). Better than $700 for TTI.

I'll come over and bend them for you if you like, Sparky.
I just love breaking other people's stuff! :D
