Hi all, I've got a 2 speed wiper on my duster that doesn't work, and a 3 speed switch and motor sitting around, so thought why not swap? What I want to know is do I need any other parts like different wiper linkage, or wiring? Or is it a straight swap, my initial thought is it looks like a straight swap,,,but surely that's too easy. Anyone done this swap on an A-body?

I did a 2 to 3 speed conversion and Kim was a great resource both in parts and advise, from what I remember you just need a new crank arm (pn#2822272) check with her about the large plastic bushing at that end I think it may be different also, the wiring is attached to the 3spd motor your 2spd has a removable harness that unplugs out of the main harness

Can't give a big enough Thumbs Up to her :thumrigh:

Shouldn't have to change any wiring, three speed motor, three speed switch and three speed crank arm, part number 2822272 for an A body, three speed nylon bushing, that's it, whalah converted :)

there is additional wire that allows you to convert to electric washer and replace foot pump. brown wire from pump to bulkhead connector and brown wire from inside connector to the wiper switch. this feature only available for 3 speed wiper motor. great feature when my Dart was a daily driver and the foot pump would freeze up in winter and water on carpet!
wiring in shop manual position M on bulkhead
