Turlock Swap meet is this weekend Jan 30/31... anyone ever go? is it worth going for 60's/70's Mopars... I'm about 2 hours away?

I haven't attended Turlock for about 15 years, and when I did I was looking for Dodge Brothers parts, so I didn't really notice how much Mopar stuff there was. But it is a big swap meet and very popular, so I don't think you'd make a mistake by going.

I'm tempted to go. Never been. Help get my fix till Pomona

I haven't been in a few years. Before that, I'd probably gone 5-8 years in a row. It's mostly chevy and for stuff, obviously. Lots of 30's vintage sheet metal and other parts (all going for stupid big bucks). Not a whole lot of mopar stuff. That's why I quit going. It was simply too long of a drive to justify. If you're in to everything old car related, it'd be worth it. But from my experience, the sellers want waaay to much for their rusty crap. Maybe go on Sunday and see if the prices are lower??

I rarely have luck finding parts at the swap meets. I have completely given up on Pomona. If you're looking for Chevy parts, then Pomona is the place to go. Mopar parts seem to be slim in those places. Maybe there's better luck in Turlock. The one I do like going from time to time is the Long Beach Hi Peformance swap meet since it's close.

I went last year and found very little mopar stuff. If you own a Ford or Chevy go for it!

Ok guys well looks like I'm gonna stay home and tackle more work on my Dart... I'm close to having it back on the road.

A good swap meet to attend for Mopar parts is the Capital City Mopars (Sacramento) "Mopars in the Park" meet around the middle of June. Cool cars, too. The only thing I didn't like was the D.J. playing crappy old rock songs really loud, so you couldn't even converse. They need to get rid of that D.J.!

Thanks Bill sounds good!

Good to know. I will hold out for the "Mopars in the park." Great car show i went to was the Good Guys car show in Pleasanton. The one in August is the big one supposedly. Few mopar cars challenger, scamp, and dart. Saw an awesome dodge brothers hotrod pickup. That is a great show to take the family to. My wife has zero interest in cars but she is already talking about this years show.

ditto on LB, thats a nice little swap meet with a suprising amount of Moparts. Like more than the 10X sized Pomona..wtf? And that is a peeve of mine, car shows playing Doo-whop and Beach Boys...C'mon, the majority of us were born in the 60's..play some Skynyrd man!

I hear ya on the music thing. That vibra-sound music that the cholos play annoys the hell out of me. Although, I was born in the 70's. My Duster is a year older than I am. lol 70's had great rock too!
