mashed potatoes & gravy, roast beef, biscuits, corn, ......

What's "cooked on the Egg"? I like all the mentioned choices. I made bacon mac-n-cheese last night. I have a pork shoulder in the freezer though...

you guys think about food wayyyyyyy too much!!!! LOL

I been crazing some well seasoned baked chicken. BUT NO green egg. maybe the Dem. will come up with a "program" to put a big green egg on everyone's backyard!!?????? lol

the "green egg" is a cooking vessel - grill of some sort I think. So wayyyyyyy too much - - I'm awake, I'm hungry.. :D - - of course I have dreampt of food too so...

All these threads about the Green Egg, has me thinking about one !! Love me some Smoked Shizzit !!

Green eggs and ham...

(I do not like them, Sam I am....)

An 8 pound pork shoulder cooked in the crock pot all day with 2 packages of ground California chiles, onion, garlic and taco seasoning with guacamole, sour cream, cheese, lettuce, tomato on a pan fried corn tortilla.

Spanish rice and refried beans on the side.

Oh man.

Venison Chili with a pound of chopped Easter ham, ground turkey, 1/2 dozen Sorano & Jalapeño peppers, cilantro, 1 large white onion, a few tomatoes, 2 beef bullion cubes, more than a dash of ground pepper, 1/4 cup of Cumin seed, mixed in a crock pot with 2 or 3 light beers, ...served with PicoPaco hot sauce and Saltines. Yum.

these weekend or so, pork shoulder in the crock pot, can of soda pop, brown sugar and can of green chilis on top, works for me.

I ate some "el gato" burritos in Anahiem once ! the intact complete cats paw is what tipped me off, naturally it was almost the last bite-when I found it ! my stomach felt queezy for 3 days ! the place was closed down 3 weeks later by the health department.

Eggs are indeed spendy. Kamado Joe has the same warranty......and from everything I have read perform just as well. When you buy an Egg they don't come complete. A Kamado Joe, for the same price, comes complete.

Have seen more than 1 rumor about Weber releasing a "Kamado" style cooker on April 6th. You think an Egg is pricey just wait. Have seen a price upwards of $2500 for it.

Thing with an Egg, or a Kamado Joe, is the warranty. The base and dome, firebox and ring all have a lifetime warranty for the original owner. It cracks, take a few puctures, email them to a,dealer and it will be taken care of.

A neighbor was talking to me about wanting an Egg. He went to a dealer and said no thanks because of the $$. I had him pick up a pork butt and cooked it for him. He was on the fence. Fed him some burgers...he couldn't get over how juicy they were....wanted to know what cut of meat I used....showed him the box of frozen Costco burger pucks. He still wasn't convinced....until I baked him a cake on it.

Funny to see people....people that like the most overpriced "old clunkers"....complain about the $$ of an Egg....lol...thought that you would be used to paying a premium for things...
