Can u please tell me who to get the headers from I can't find anyone with info on them and then they say they won't fit and there no longer available please this will help out my son thank youI've never attempted full fenderwell headers on an early A-body so someone else will have to provide info on that. I've seen members who have had custom sets made for them, but never any that they purchased and then modified.
I posted links below to my header install so far; they are ProParts headers which are being re-manufactured now, but are pricey from the new manufacturer. Please don't believe that I'm saying they aren't worth it; I definitely think they are after having used them on early and late A-bodies, but I can't imagine purchasing them new for something I own. ProParts are a semi-chassis header; in other words, some of the pipes run inside the frame rails and some of the pipes dump into the fenderwells. On the driver side, two pipes go inside and two pipes go outside. On the passenger side, three pipes go inside and 1 pipe goes outside. With these pipes, it is possible to run a 4-speed with a modified bellcrank and also larger tires as not as many pipes are dumping into the fenderwells. To open the pictures in my links, just click on the download icon for them. Unfortunately when I built that thread, it was before the website was upgraded so the pictures do not appear without downloading them. I just used pipe connectors everywhere I cut and rotated a pipe for now until I get around to welding everything in.

Proparts aren't even making them anymore are out of business I have no problem modifying a set if I can find a set I see so many pics of 66 barracudas with bigblocks and running headers so there out there just have to hope and pray to find a set for my kid or find someone who makes themNo one makes headers for your application!!! As already stated, Proparts are about the closest you'll get to a bolt-on set, but even they will require modification. Plus they expensive (again, as already stated). You can get them from the link posted in post #23. Do you actually read these responses? Click on the link on post #23, get you wallet out, and wait for the package. When it comes, get out the cut off wheel and welder and get ready for some fun.

You're correct, Parts are are out of business. mopowers is also correct that you are not reading previous posts. In post 23 I told you and gave you a link to Bob Mazzolini Racing, the company that is now making them.
Yes he just rebuilt all high perf parts and it's beautiful painted Daytona yellow with all the aluminum assessorys and high rise intake 780 carb 468/488 lift cam and it will have 1.6 ratio roller rockers black 7 qt oil pan to fit that car with a 440 the 727 trans rebuilt with high perf clutch's and steel plates auto/ manual shift valve body and 2400 stall he has done all of this and the head work he's done a nice job but like I said it wasn't planned to be in the 66 barracuda but it was what he found and could affordWhen you started this thread, I went "Oh no" but didn't say anything.
You have now seen and other's have told you how difficult this engine is to get in this body.
I wouldn't even try it.
Years ago I put an 8 3/4 rear in an A body I was building with the idea of a big block A body.
But decided against it.
Nose heavy, and install problems.
A hot small block is a drop in and made for the car.
I only wonder which he likes more, the body or the engine.
I hope it is the car. Then perhaps he can be made to understand the the engine is only for making the car get from point A to point B and you can go for a 318 or something.
I didn't notice, do you even know the 440 you have is a good engine with out a doubt?
Lots of work for a gamble.
Yes I've called them and he said they won't work for that body of car what upsets me is all these pics of 66 barracudas with bigblocks and headers and no info on headers where to get them from we tried the exhaust manifold way and there just about the same price and there hard to find too I'm not trying to jerk anyone around this isn't a game I'm really trying to help my autistic son out with this
How about someone helping me find him a body near by Calif that would work better for him anyone has a 2 door body for sale that will work with this big block ? He has too much money and time in that motor and trans it's just a bad mistake that he bought this body
