looks like we will have a new product to choose from for in fuel tank fuel pumps. The FITECH unit will be available soon.

I'm looking at purchasing the 400hp go street set up and the Aeromotive predator system for use on my 340 with a 4" stroker kit all riding on top of Edelbrock's air gap intake and cylinder heads.

Does anyone have experience with aeromotive or Tanks Inc. products or any other honorable mentions for intank pump options?

The pictures below are FITECH post from face book, tanksinc and Aeromotives yellow foam baffled predator offerings.

I just installed the sniper efi with the aeromotive stealth tank on my Demon. I bought the setup thru Pace Performance. The tank set up appears to be a very nice product using a tanks inc tank with aeromotives 340 fuel pump. Cars not on road yet but Pace also gives a fabo member discount. The nice thing is everything is already assembled and ready to install. Just plumb and wire it. I know thru researching the Fitech support seems to be lacking a little. But that is not my experience just obtained from googling and reading. So take that with a grain of salt. The Holley sniper has some advantages over the fitech. The fuel inlets and outlets sit lower on the unit so it allows for easier plumbing with dropped base air cleaners. I am using 1 3/4" drop base. However I am using an external regulator based on Paces advice so I am only using the supply port on the sniper without the return.

The fitech unit will be a good seller for sure. We should have them shortly. If its like the rest of their line, it should be pretty trouble free and a great priced and functioning item. But they sometimes push production delays...and if it launched like the TB units...we'll get a shipment, and then we will wait a long time on shipment number 2 to land...

Fitech FTH-50019 Hy-Fuel In-Tank Retrofit EFI pump kit

the aeromotives and holleys are currently available..

The aeromotive is a superior unit to the tanks in every way under the sun, and the holley in tank unit is also better than tanks.
I know tanks is popular due to cost, but modern ethanol blend fuel being used at 68psi through yellow zinc npt fittings? I couldn't consciously sell someone that unit, nor would it ever have a place on a vehicle I owned.

holley options, both returnless and return

That should help your comparison and options.

I have the Aeromotive Phantom 340 kit in my Duster and so far so good, been a year and a half and it's perfect. You can corner hard with 1/8 tank without any issues.

The complete tank also looks like the easiest setup. I have a raised section in my trunk to make everything fit nice. If I did have a problem, I wouldn't have to pull the tank though! Most people would probably rather not cut the car up like I did though.

Nothing to say about the fitech stuff, I like my carbs but, I think you should be buying the 600hp throttle body, your set-up should produce more than 400hp.

I have the Tanks inc. tank and pump in 71 Cuda. The tank is made for the pump and float so it goes in the car really easy. Tank has recess for pump & float for easy access. Also tank is powder coated to make the outside more durable. I have the biggest pump for my 575 HP hemi.

Tanks Inc makes a nice FI tank and the pumps are Walbro if I'm not mistaken. Fitech seems to come out with these products that are not thoroughly tested (Fuel command center) and also can't meet demand. They have been advertising a Multiport FI setup for a year now and still on their website says "coming Soon". They couldn't answer what type of manifold would be used when asked a SEMA. Not impressed with them so far.

Any yellow zinc setup with npt fittings that requires pipe tape is completely off the table for me. Whats the service life on 10 percent methanol gas eating through npt brass/zinc fittings and pipe tape? Not near the life of -AN fittings and black anodizing....the aeromotive or holley get my vote.

do you have two straps that go front to rear, or one that goes side to side? The Duster/Demon tank has two that go front to rear.

Dubob, who did you talk to at pace about the Fabo discount. I just spoke with them and they told me no discount for fabo members. I was going to order my fitech and fuel tank.

Call me monday...you just have to do it with me on the phone.

Short update as I just found this thread; I have the Fitech GoEFI 600hp Power Adder model. AMAZING performance, and has been literally the most reliable start I've had. Learned my engine quickly and runs cold. I have the Fuel Command Center, which is a decent unit but goddamn, it's ungainly in my engine bay. SO, I'll be purchasing the HyFuel in-tank retrofit kit. Simple reason? Everything on the FiTech so far, fits and assembles like factory and just plain /works/. Also, an in-tank with returnees setup? Self-regulating? Their warranty? I'M IN. Will update after install.
