Has anyone purchased these vent hoses from Windy City? Have been listed on ebay as 62-66 abody dash vents. I have not received a response from them confirming the hose dimensions. For the kind of money they are listed for, I believe an exact fit is expected.

As you might know, the dash vents have a 2 1/2 inch od for the hose. The heater case has 1 outlet at 2 inch, and one at 2 1/4. The factory hoses each had a 2 1/2 end with a clamp, and the other end the smaller size to fit each case outlet.

I purchased the exact same hose kit from another company and the hoses do not even come close to fitting! When you put the coupling on the heater box outlets, there isn't enough space to slip both hoses onto the outlets. Also, the hoses are much too stiff to route to the dash vents. I sent the manufacturer pictures of these discrepancies and I got a partial refund as I kept the dash vents which were really nice pieces. Solution? Get the dash vents only and order the hoses from Nappa. They have the both sizes and they work perfectly although they are not exactly like the stock parts they work just fine.
Hope this helps.

yeah, I was going to say the OEM hose is a strange 2 different end size beast, and I believe the vents are very common , IIRC the Viper even uses those vents!

They photo suggests the expanded ends for the different sizes... I can custom the hoses a few different ways but of course the space is limited under there. If I get confirmation i will pass on the info cuz i know this has been one of those rare odd pieces.

Here is a pic of the adapter rings installed on the heater box outlets. As you can see, there is no room to slip the hoses on to them.

I did finally hear back (after I made a pest of myself!) the Windy city Defrost hose set up is indeed a straight length 2 1/2" hose on both sides. I though maybe some one started making this oddball piece.
I have the 2" and 2.5 " hose from Nostalgic AC as well as the adapter (2.5-2"Part #5065). It'll just take a little work with the heat gun and 3" shrink wrap. I can keep the adapter tucked up high as I can get it and just have 2" hoses down to the box. It'll work.
