Well flame away!!!
And yet, every thread that's plainly stated in the title that it's about a new mopar, stroked 340 finds he cannot help but click on it and drop a bash.

I call him the "seagull". fly's in, poops on everything, and fly's away :D

I see you still haven't learned anything at all from your last thread that was deleted. Maybe it could be resurrected to continue the comments directed towards you from members...

Why don't you give your bashing of Mopars a break ?? :poke::(

I can't/won't buy one, but am excited to see the new Demon!!!
I say ban his dumb ***. We don't this tool around for anything. I also cannot wait to see this Demon revealed!! Such an exciting time we are living in.

Well flame away!!!
That's one thing you have never seen me do !!
I'm a realist !!!!
I don't like all things and truly I'm opinionated !!
I have stated in some threads distaste for certain things at times for sure !!
I also maintain respect for others !
I find you to be an easy target !
More often then not , you come in guns a blazing , mouth a spewing ,
disrespect , disdain , ext .
I have at times truly flung some dung straight at you !!
I also pity and feel bad for you .
I truly hope you find peace and happiness !
Spreading your negativity certainly gains no friends or respect .
Now back to the thread !

Can't wait to see the Demon in action !!!

Its gonna get mobbed on the street. Can you imagine pulling into a gas station? (something it will be doing often). Or just sitting at a light? What a hoot!!

He drives a ford f150 so he likes rigged pleasure devices. This goes out to you strokeddouche340

I guess the bag of old nameplates to exploit is getting pretty empty. I'd rather see a Demon based on the Dart than another bastardization of a great reputation to sell more Drag Pack cars. That's all this is about. Nothing to do with the legend of the Demons. Call it something else.

They could take a new Dudge Dirt and make it a v-6 two door Demon or sumtin. It'd be sumtin like that old two Door Neon that was so popular.

Just to stir the pot a little and also to point something out.... exactly what "legend" did the original Demons have? They were LITERALLY a ripoff of the Duster. The Duster is the true legend. It has the legendary story of how it first came into production and also the Duster 340's became legendary for killing a lot of big block cars. The ONLY reason the demon ever existed was because the Duster was a huge hit in 1970 and Dodge was jealous and demanded they have their own version. So what'd they do? Took a Duster, change some metal on it and slapped a different name plate on it. Why? For sales. So in reality the Challenger Demon is the perfect car to wear the Demon name plate since it's just a slightly different version of an existing, great selling vehicle.

Heck, the original Demons were somewhat of a fail as far as far as sales go. They never sold anywhere near what the Duster's sold and in 73 they had to change the name to try to get sales back up. Don't get me wrong, I like the old demons but the new Demon is already more of a Legend than the old one will ever be.

The 340 started out in Darts and Barracudas in like 1968. The Duster isn't the legend , it was just a way for Plymouth to keep marketing the 340 after the 'Cuda went E body. The demon is a Dart, which had the 340 first. The 340 engine is the "Legend" in all reality. Goood pot stir by the way ;)

Well technically yes but I've heard a lot of "Duster 340" stories over the last few years. And the story of how they came about it's still far more legendary than the "rebranded Duster" aka Demon. ;) lol

Like said the "Legend" is the engine/ drivetrain, both cars are basically Dusters. So In a sense the "which came first, the Duster or the Demon, is the only real argument here, and we all know the answer to that. I am a Dart man myself, the 70 Swinger 340, while being an affordable and venerable machine in its day, I can see why the 70 Duster / Duster 340 took off, it was a "new body style" with a fastback roof line of course people will buy it, its different from the dart body from the last 4 years. When it comes down to it though, the drive trains are basically the same untill they detuned the 340. I never liked the later Dart front end that looks like a valiant/ Duster, the 73-76 nose for example. By the end, the cars were like the recent Neon. Same car , but with either Dodge or Plymouth badges on it. It sucks, because there are alot of nice later Darts around, but I cant get over that they look like Valiants, its probably the same for Duster fans who don't like that Dart front end on their favorite car.

The biggest improvement in the Dusters over earlier Darts is what they did to the wheel wells. Drive line is basically the same til they detuned them and everybody has a different opinion on styling, but its hard to argue the functionality of more meat on the ground, especially with 60's and 70's rubber. BTW in 10 or 15 years we'll all be kicking ourselves for not getting one, like the old original hemi cars that look so cheap by todays dollars.
