my booster seems to have taken a crap on my 69 Dart. I always see boosters for sale WITH master cylinders but very seldom do I find them without. I found a guy who sells them but he says there's a couple of different boosters for my car. I have no idea how to identify the booster. Looks like a plain old booster to me. Help?

this is as close as I have for now. Thanks, Bill

The disc booster for late 60's-72 is a Midland and is dual diaphram. The drum booster is single diaphram and also a Midland.

thanks, I'm having a hard time understanding why they always want to sell me a booster/mc combo rather than just a booster. Thought about sending it to Booster Dewey and just get it done. Idle goes stupid every time I hit the brakes and the peddle acts like I have no power brakes. Still stops but not like it should!

Having exact same problem. Did you have any luck with replacing?

Not yet. Been building a house the last year or so and it's really been consuming. None of my cars have gotten much attention this year to include driving. That's going to change I hope. Hell, I've got a few grand in oarts for my 66 buick build just sitting in the trunk.........what a shame.

I rebuilt my booster on my 69 B-Cuda in 2015. I got all the parts from "Harmon Classic Brakes"in Valley Glen Ca. (818-787-7081)
George M. Greco, very helpfull. Harmonclassicbrakes.com
Midland boosters seem to be like hens teeth.
Be advised their are two sizes of midland boosters, a 6 1/2 in diameter, and a 7 in diameter. They are not hard to rebuild. It was harder to find pure synthetic grease. I only had to take it apart twice. Best way to check for vacuum after rebuild is to hitch up to another cars vacuum system. Their is also a core charge on some of the parts. You don't have to take the whole system apart, you can remove just the booster from the bracket, and rod. no adjustment either.
My 69 has power drums, and it was the 6 1/2 in one. My 67 B-Cuda has fac disc brakes and it has the 7 in booster. I believe that is the difference.
Bygblk Yours looks like a Midland, can't tell the diameter tho, just measure it. Hope this info helps.

Thanks Dave. Mine has disc's so it may be the larger booster. As soon as my new shop is done I'm going to shut the car down for some front end work and wiring. I might try to do the booster myself if the parts are available. Looks easy enough to remove which made me wonder why the whole setup seems so elusive. Oh, Mopar is why!
