Hey everyone,

I am pretty sure I have a couple of bum carbs for my 6-71 blower that I have been putting together. I bought them off of a guy that tried them on his car but could not seem to get them sorted out - even though they were built by an 'expert'. That really should have been a hint but I took the gamble because I was able to get them for a reasonable price.

I wanted to ask everyone that has experience putting fuel injection on their cars, what is a good brand to go with? I have heard mostly good things about Fitech, but I know there is more out there.

What is good, and would you suggest to avoid?

I am running dual 650, dp's on a 671 Littlefield big case blower. (yes they are blower carbs)

Thank you

How much do you want to tinker with it? Stand alones are great if they stand behind them support wise. EFI is just a brain that holds 2 tables: ignition mapping and fuel delivery. They all can do that. Even MS1 can do forced induction and its cheaper than one of your carbs. "blower carbs"...Draw through carbs are how different than stockers?

There is a thread in the Forced Induction category of a truck build with dual turbos and dual Fitechs. I run a single Fitech/turbo blow thru and it has a learning curve but I like it. Mine is probably a little more complicated than most because of the turbo and E85 but they do support dual units.

Hi,
I am willing to answer any questions. I was running a single Fitech 600 Poweradder system with timing control on my '69 340 Dart. Also the twin turbo D150 thread (T for 2) is mine as well. Let me know if I can help.

I'll take you up on this. Can you share why the FiTech is being described in the past tense? What did you replace it with?

The FiTech is not past tense BUT the engine is. I was in a gas station on my way to a cruise when after I filled the Dart up with gas and started It up it developed what sounded like a rod knock. I took it home and parked it. My buddy Larry (with the FiTech dual quad, twin turbo D150) cam over to listen to it and agreed that it sounded like a rod knock. So I've decided to rebuild the engine and this time as a 416 stroker normally aspirated. By the way ......when I was disassembling the engine I found that it wasn't a rod knock after all but that the crank pulley had come loose and was rattling arrrrgh. I already had started on the new engine so I am moving forward. The FiTech is going back on and anything I can help with please PM me.
