I destroyed one of my front market light sockets trying to remove it, and my turn signals which I had just fixed no longer work. Hazards work but are VERY faint. If i replace the marker light bulb and socket will it fix my turn signals? Or should I start looking elsewhere

Without seeing it I would be inclined to think that there's a loss of continuity somewhere between the light socket on the marker light and a ground source. So most likely.

I am a little puzzled why the front signals worked (barely) with hazards switch pulled, but not with turn signal switch

I would fix the destroyed light and your others would probably work again. They did work before?

They did work, and I was stoked!! Not anymore...
So how is one supposed to remove the bulbs from side marker lights? I read another thread and someone said "just pull on it, you won't break it"....
And how can i remove the entire lense? Since there is now broken glass inside from when i destroyed the bulb and socket.

It is probably a rear axle issue. My friends Dad said that when his turn signal went out, he was low on axle gear oil.

It might help if we knew what car you were working on. :) That aside, I suspect your ground connection in the harness is dirty. Look for rust, excessive paint, etc, at both the front and rear light harness grounds.

Oh yeah its a '70 dart. Idk if its the ground since they worked fine before but it's worth a shot

Did you check your fluid level? I found a coupon if you have an autozone near you.

It does exist!

A bad ground, somewhere else may play a part in this. By removing socket you inadvertently opened the circuits.
With hazards on its using other lamps as a ground source.

Someone with more expertise should answer that question.

70 Dart marker light bulbs - push in and twist to remove. Sounds like the only working ground for your lights was through the one working one, and when that one went you lost the rest of them. The directional sockets in the grill have their own ground wires that lead back to the radiator support. Trace the wires from your broken marker light back and you're liable to find a similar wire back to some sheet metal nut welded into the radiator support or similar. Remove and clean every one you can find - the wire end, the backside of the bolt/washers and any paint on the body nut. I usually make a small jumper from the negative of the battery terminal right to the rad support for good measure. 'In general', when dealing with a stock electrical system, you can't have too many grounds - good, clean, solid ones. Now you modify your system with all sorts of newer electronics and too many grounds can cause other issues.

Oh, IIRC those marker light sockets for the front are pressed on to the pot metal housing. Royal PITA to remove.

If anyone was wondering, your side marker lights do not affect your front turn signals.
Turn signals are now working again, must have been a loose connection or ground because I'm not really sure what fixed it.
