Anyone done one these on above, and how did it work out? Thanks a bunch..

Coalman, Ive done a total rewire that included the mad amp bypass. You should be fine if you follow the instructions. If you have any questions while doing it, I got plenty of support from this site and a few of the members here.

Have done this on 74 Duster, 70 Cuda which work well. The conversion gives me great peace of mind for safer electrics. The Duster has a 40 amp blade fuseholder in wire from alt, since it is drag car and not OEM resto. I also replaced ammeter with a voltmeter in the dash cluster. The Cuda is original survivor so I used fusible link spliced in.

Thank you both. I do have a question, on diagram "B", it shows the 16 gauge fusible link off of starter relay, then both the black and red wires coming off of this. I don't see this on the car, am I missing something? Thanks

JMO, selling the wire around wires for many years.

I suggest installing wire around and if the bulkhead connectors are in good shape, leave everything else in place after bypassing your ammeter.

I have the Amp gage bypassed and the Red wire is done with the fusible link. I am worried about the Black wire because of the welded splice's... Thanks

I don't know of a mechanical connection that is more rigid/secure than weld.
