k thanks for the helpif it has a manual valve body, then no, but if it's a regular valve body you'll burn it up, very quickly
So....up shitting is OK but no down shitting??? I've never tried to up ****, it could get messy!!fish lover, please don't "down ****" in your car!
thanks guys TCI finally got back to me. It is a tranny I bought from TCI street strip it does need to be hooked up
Is the transmission in the car?thanks guys TCI finally got back to me. It is a tranny I bought from TCI street strip it does need to be hooked up
Is the transmission in the car?
Have you filled the transmission with fluid?yes in car. Car still on lift in my garage
yes so I don't want to change anything it would void warranty.Started engine for first time since rebuildHave you filled the transmission with fluid?
Be careful and make sure the transmission fluid is up to good levels before you move the vehicle one inch. As in I've heard of people pushing the car out to break in the motor and then putting it in reverse low on fluid to put it back in the garage and burning out the transmission. That's not personal experience that's just what I've heard. But it convinced me LOL.yes so I don't want to change anything it would void warranty.Started engine for first time since rebuild
thanks haven't moved it yet TCI says to put 1 gallon in jack up rear end and go thru gears pouring in the remaining 2 gallons as fast as it will take it.Ordered the linkage from Classic Industries last night should have by the weekend I hope. This has been a helpful site thanks everyone for the input. By the way I will be listing some original parts off of the 69 cuda really don't want anything for them willing to help someone out. original 7 1/4 rear old school craiger ss sbp wheels front drums and a arms 69 318 engine ran when pulled non power steering column edelbrock aluminum intake other misc.stuffBy the way welcome to the Forum and all that.
I think the only thing you can do to invalidate the warranty on that transmission is 1 be too low or too full on fluid or actually number one should be not having that pressure regulator valve adjusted properly!
