Complete running high performance 340 small block engine with 727 Torqueflite automatic transmission and A/C taken out of a 1968 Plymouth Barracuda Formula S. Engine and tranny were rebuilt over 10 years ago before being placed in storage. Car was running and engine replaced with a Hemi. No issues. Casting number: 2780930-340-6

*All other numbers in pics.

• 275 hp at 5,000 rpm & 340 lb-ft torque at 3,200
• 4.040" bore and 3.310" stroke
• forged crank w/shot peened rods
• 10.5:1 compression ratio
• '206' hydraulic cam - 268 in. dur. - 276 ex. dur. 44 overlap
• a dual timing chain and a windage tray
• big X heads - 2.02 inch intake valves and 1.60 inch exhaust valves (894's)
• free flowing dual plane 4 bbl intake
• Carter 650cfm AVS Carburetor w/1.44" primaries and 1.69" secondaries

Engine and transmission are being sold as a set. Will not part out. Perfer pickup but will ship at your expense.

Whatever is attached to the engine will all be sold together.
 
"Running engine" Can it be started for someone to hear?
 
VIN number, if stamped, is behind driver side head on bell housing rail.
 
Look at the other end of the head on driver side, right where trans meets block.
