Dad bought this Bee in 1989. Matching numbers 383 auto car. Solid Utah body . The car in 1989 had 180,000 miles on it. Now the car is pushing 300,000 miles. Dad pulled the 383 around 2000 or so and dropped in a 426 Hemi.In 2016 Dad pulled the Hemi and sold it.The plan was to drop the numbers 383 back in. In Nov 2017 Dad gave me the Bee 6 weeks before colon cancer took him. I have ordered some bolt on goodies to wake up the 383 a bit. Hoping to have it back on the street by the end of May... First pic is how the car looked in 1992 before going to body shop.

Yes we kicked around silver. Then black...to hard to keep clean. Then I talked him into Ralley green with a black stripe.

Sorry to hear about your dad. I never really cared for the dark greens but it just works on yours. Good luck with the build.

Sorry for the loss of your Dad !
Glad to see car on the road !
Smile when you cruise it and remember your Dad !
You are blessed even though he is gone, his memory lives on with you in the bee and I'm sure many other things .
Thanks for sharing !

Drove the car today. First time it has moved under its own power since Apr 2016.And the first time the 383 has powered the Bee since 1995. Have to adjust the Lokar kick down. And fix a valve cover leak. Plan on taking it to a Fathers day cruise sat...

That is awesome !!!
I'm sure your Dad wouldnt want it any other way !
I'm sure he will be with you in spirit ,

I have took the car to 3 different car cruises. Today my Uncle buffed it . The car is looking good. It still needs some detailing.
