I'm wondering if anyone has a fuel pedal pivot pin for my 66 Barracuda. The retainer clip has rotted off of mine. Perhaps someone has a good "fix" for this.

Thank you

Pictures would help as I’m unsure of what you mean by “fuel pedal pivot pin”.

The hinge pin that holds the fuel pedal to the metal "floor mounted" bracket. Please forgive the lack of a picture, I managed to get it to hold in place with a wire tie, at least for now

youll need to fashion a pin out of some stock rod. I dont think that was a service part. Good thing is its removeable from the floor so you can work on it on a bench and not laying on the seat!

Take the parts to a good hardware store, and find a clevis pin to fit it, and get the correct snap ring to hold it all together, and bolt it back in the floor.

Might have one on my old 66 Cuda parts car. just not sure if worth time and shipping ? LMK, C

For those that are wondering what the pin looks like, here's a photo (floor bracket on left, underside of gas pedal in middle, pin on right). The removable pin has a spring clip on the one side that clips to the floor bracket to hold the pin in place after installation. Fortunately a spare pedal I got with my car had a good pin and clip, as the original pin's clip was rotted away.

The hinge eye on the pedal is usually toasty as well, I’ve had to hone them out before to get the pedal to operate smoothly. The pin size is .245, or a couple thou off of 1/4”.
