Bugs are nasty this year.

We got married on the beach in Fl. Setup was perfect. Went to get dressed, came back for the ceremony, SWARMED with Love Bugs, accidentally breathed in a couple, had to keep picking them out of my beer afterward, just about the time everyone was leaving, they disappeared.
That sounds about like my luck.

You mean these ?

Ya , that what they call em down here. To the rest of the country I think they call A BIG *** roach. LOL

Yellow Jackets and Hornets have been real bad this year, dont know why. Soon they will go back to Hell where they came from. EPI Pen required here.
Warm spring and dry summer. Get your traps out and catch that queen this fall. I killed one today. Got stung 3 times this year.

I have not see any this big myself. (this was on google) We do have Palmetto bugs, which are just real big roaches, I think there main purpose in their life is to freak out women and feed all the lizards. No see ems are ferocious at times as are termites(to your property ). But I agree bugs in general are a Pain in the ^$#* , but I guess the serve a purpose. The pis I added was just for fun.

I was changing the hydraulic fluid in my mower outside on the cement pad in front of the shop. I put a pan under and started draining the fluid the flies were diving into the used oil so fast that there was more flies than oil

We have lots of birds here and guess that's what bugs are for around here.

That's kinda odd, I think I will try that.
We are at that time of year when the spotted wing flies start looking for a place to hibernate and got a butt load in my motor home, fly stickies don't seem to help so will try the hyd. oil idea.

You might be on to something there !

The hyd fluid had about 200 hours on it the mower a JD x500 may be the fluid had a slight smell but it was not discolored or burnt it sure drawed them in

Sounds to me like you better scrape the flies out and keep what you have for next year.
