New ignition switch - bad already?

While I can't know... That description reads like later model, column mounted switch application. That switch does have a remote connector that the dash mounted switches do not have.
Bulkhead connections are suspect. If you inspect/service the incoming line at service disconnect to fusible link before bulkhead, then to and through amp gauge, the weld splice, and the ignition switch, you ensured paths to inside, fuse box, etc... Next is the blue and brown ignition wires going back out though the bulkhead to inspect/service. Those followed by connections at the ignition components.
 
Update

I think it's finally fixed.....
Middle bulk head connector wasn't fully seated on the bottom....
Seems be be working fine now...fingers crossed!
