Hi, I have a magnumswap going on and Im going to use the Jeep ND alternator. It seems that its externally regulated so I need a regulator since I had Bosch alternator before which has internal regulator. Can I use the -70s mopar regulator?? Or even better, is there aftermarket options for the ND which would be internally regulated??

Yup. Use the 70/ later Mopar one. In fact "somewhere" there's an article on using one if the original inside the fuel/ engine computer goes dead on newer cars/ trucks.

Yep, i wired one of them 70s ones in on a 94 dakota for a local rancher. The replacement computer was insane money. Everything was good except the computers voltage regulator.

Thanks, one more question, just to make sure; do I need a charging system light?

There is actually no "easy" way to hook a light to one of these systems.
