Hi my barracuda has the tabs broke off at the fender for mounting the header panel. Just wondered if anybody else has run into this and what they did to fix it doesn't seem like it's easily accessible from inside the fender.

I would use a T-nut used for wood. Just tap it in with a hammer and lap weld it. Very easy and probably the preferred method.

Or for a more professional look, make the hole just slightly larger than the T-nut diameter. Put a bolt in the nut to hold it, and tack weld it. After you tack it, check the fit with the bolts. Then finish the butt weld all around with either steel or bronze, and grind smooth.

Either way, nobody will see it, and you will not need to get inside the fender. The cadmium plating will burn off, but who cares.

If you cut a access hole underneath, insert a 'T' bolt from inside out, washer and nut goes outside behind the header. Plastic body plug fills the access hole. The right size and shape of access hole would make a difference. Oval takes a little more effort to create than simple round with hole saw but could prove worth the extra effort. You could mount both studs in a single piece or metal cut to fit inside.

Open hole enough to slip that rectangular nut it (with a bolt attached), pull in place and weld.
