Anyone know where I can find a stock replacement for tail lamp socket. I found a couple online but none look like the one I have. They might work but they look different. The bulb will light but the bottom of the socket that pushes up and down is stuck down due to corrosion. I’m not getting a good connection. I tried some die-electric grease to help but it didn’t.

The original ones are swaged in so it will take some creativity to replace them.

Mine were not much different. I used penetrating oil to get the bulb out. Then I soaked the socket in vinegar. Some improvement. Then I soldered a ground wire to the outside of each socket to eliminate a bad ground, but if yours light up then you can skip that. I used some emery cloth on the inside and a bunch of electrical grease before I put the bulb back in. So far so good.

Thanks!

Dorman makes a 3/4 inch socket that fit perfect in the houseing.then bend over 6 tabs.the one in picture is for 1 1/8 hole. Hope this helps
