Grille swap questions

Ok I'm restoring a 92 d150 (sadly I couldn't find the year model I wanted so I settled lol). So my question is is it possible to swap a 86 grille on to my 92? I'm not to fond with the grille on the 90s models.

agree with the correct forum comment mentioned above, but since I am here and also a D150 owner,,,
The exterior sheet metal, fenders, hood will interchange between a 86 and a 92, so the grill should also, you will need the 86 head light bezels with the 86 grill.
The 92 front bumper may or may not fit well with the 86 grill work.

It can be done. It will require core support modifications though as the headlight buckets sit in a slightly different place. Have seen it done the other way to put the early 90's chrome grill in an older truck. Or just find an entire core support.
