After a lengthy hiatus, I have scored another MOPAR and I am looking forward to getting back into playing around with it.

Recently, purchased a 1973 Dodge Dart (Sport??). Unfortunately, it has no fender tag to verify that it was a "Sport". Has no motor or tranny - not a problem, works into my plan when I figure it out??!!

Body work had been done...paint in decent shape...all sorts of ideas running thru my head on where to go with project...New Gen HEMI??? or "old school" big block...

I'm sure I'll be browsing and asking questions...I feel like a newbie it has been so long!!

It's a sport. In '73 the name Dart Sport took the place of Dart Demon. Pretty much the 4 doors were customs, the hardtops were Swingers, and if it looks like a duster it's a sport (some call them fastbacks, I generally call them a coupe).
Welcome and Glad your back into a MOPAR!

Welcome. You need to ask yourself a BUNCH of questions before you decide on a drivetrain. A modern hemi drivetrain will be expensive (unless you get luck and score a great deal). You can easily get 375 - 400 HP out of a streetable 360 or 340 for a lot less. Are you concerned about resale and/or having way more in it than you could sell it for?

Welcome to FABO, nice lookin' Dart Sport you have there.
harrisonm is right on with his advice in post #4.

Welcome back to the good side!! That's a beautiful car! I have dart sport/duster fever I have been looking for a reasonable price.
