1971 Duster tire and wheel combo.
Converted to big bolt pattern.
Front 4.5 BC upgrade all original style parts. 1973 disc brake spindles, rotors and upper control arms.
Rear stock A body 8 3/4 housing with B body backing plates 10"x 2.5" drums with cut down to size 4.5 BC axles with green bearings.

Bought 15" x 6" Wheel Vintiques 4.5" BC 4" BS thinking about 215-60-15 tires up front.
I also bought 15" x 7" Wheel Vintiques 4.5" BC 4.5" BS thinking about 255-60-15 or 265-60-15 tires in the rear.
Anyone running this combo that can post a picture of a 1971 Duster with that combo and let me know your opinion any problems with tire rubs etc.

235-70r15 on W.V 15x7 rims all the way around.
74’ Duster disk brakes up front
8-3/4 10x2-1/2 brakes in the rear.
Fits good on my Demon.
Sorry not exactly what your looking for BUT the front info should help.

I wish I would have left the slick and front runners on. The 7 inch fronts were to big and the front upper arm bolt failed. We raced the car the whole season unaware of the bad bolt with the front runners. The front runners cleared the fender the 7 inch wheels didn't. I saw the wheel was back but my son had to take it for a ride to see how the rear radials worked. He made it 1/4 mile from my house. 7's are to big for the front they leave no room for error. Demons and Darts don't have that problem. The fenders flare back

It was a fun car for many years. Don't make the same mistake choose the front wisely

The videos. give me inspiration to rebuild it so I keep posting them.

Dang buddy that SUCKS! Sorry to see that. Did a pole do that in the rear?

I agree , I don't care for a 15 x 7 wheel on the front of any A-body , doesn't look right and appears to be dangerous in this case. A 15 x 6.5 or 15 x 6 big bolt is a much better fit on the front of an A-body.

2 Post office boxes on a concrete slab in the front and a pole on the quarter. Frame ties and cage kept the car together. There was mail everywhere for over 100 yards. He didn't strap in and no helmet so the cage. Banged his head pretty good on the cage and broke his ribs on the swing out. A cage is only safe if you wear the rest of the saftey gear. Roll cages are not recommended for street use. It did have certified NASCAR padding around the driver. The post office boxes ended up way down the road. one of the slabs is still sitting there

Indy headed R3 5500 stall 456 with 29x14.5's on the rear it weighed 3650. I was pulling it in the shop to cut weight for the season after it sat in the trailer with these tires for the winter tube K-member and remove the heater box and stereo. I drove the car on the street for many years. The top rings were shot from it running hot for years before i found the defective Be-cool rad.

The motor is fresh now and may sell it if my son don't start on the car this year. I have a brand new bare shell to build a light weight car. and all NOS parts. including a grille and a new Be-cool rad. I am having a hard time doing the work at my age. And my son has no interest in helping. He only wrecks them he never fixes them. The biggest hold up is money to send the car to S&W for the CM cage and chassis work. That is why I am redoing and selling the brown 340 Duster and that has come to a halt also. The estimate was $12,000 for the chassis.

Yeah things are not looking good this year. I take so many pills just to get through the day its unbelievable.

If I sell the motor? , Everything goes with it. Watch for the sale thread at the end of the summer. Unless someone shows up here with cash. I also have a 500 inch MEGA block.
