The body shop
The 67 Dart GT saga continues for me haha. I have been in contact with the owner of this car for several years now. He finally came down to a reasonable price on the car and we made a deal. It was originally a slant 6 car but now has a 67 383/727 and A body 8 3/4 rear. It needs a ton of metal work but I am a body man by trade so no real issue there.. The engine looks pretty filthy on the outside but started up and ran right away and looks nice under the valve covers... Supposedly rebuilt....

My plans are to get it running and moving first and then pull it apart paint the engine bay and detail the engine. Then maybe this summer I will get to all the panel replacement. The car needs a trunk floor, drop downs, quarters, and a ton of body work. Hope it goes well and I can't wait to get it home to start the process.

Here are some pics of the car and one of the color I will be using.

Paint it green on purpose? Really? :poke:

The original color looks like the car that the guys at Fast and Loud used for their Hellcat build a few years ago.
Good luck. Looks like a fun project.

Kern Dog , for some reason everybodies liking that green now. Chrysler even had the nerve to put it on new challengers and chargers. It looks good when new, but theres much nicer colors that chrysler used IMHO

Looks like a fun project, I'm digging the green color you chose.
In fact, I'm one of the few out there that actually prefers green.
Not a big fan of Red or Turquoise though.
It's awesome that you can do the bodywork and paint yourself.
Good luck, and maybe start a build thread on here........

The color is actually a Nissan color I found years ago that is very close to F8 but looks much nicer in the sun.

So you got it. Cool. Congrats man.

Thanks man. The guy dropped it off tonight. I can't wait to show you the shade tree repairs on it! A quick check under the car and I noticed the front leaf spring bolts missing, make shift shock mounts with no way to mount the missing rear shocks....

I made a quick order tonight to fix that stuff. New shock mounts, bolts for the rear suspension, shocks, gas tank and sending unit, and tank straps.... I will start a restoration thread soon.

Lookin forward to it.

First, AWESOME project. Second, F8 green is an AWESOME choice. I like white stripes (even if it is just a simple pin stripe) with my F8.
