To be clear, the subject is the rally mirror. They are left hand and right hand shaped so everything about them is different. Not even the little foot piece will interchange left to right.
I forgot to mention that my pass vent window opens no problem just like the drivers.it always bothered me they mess up opening the passenger vent window, then i realized i don't sit on that side

Yep , the conflict comes with 68,9 models mirror position. Right mirror on my 67 is long cable remote but parts of 3 different mirrors were req'd to create it. Controller beside ignition switch can be seen in this pic
I went back to review the 1st page and sure enough , Both mirror types are stirred into this thread. Base model mirror is not left or right hand specific.
Base model mirror is a smaller glass fixed in a swiveling chromed dish/back. Left and right the same, non remote. Rally mirror is a swiveling glass in a fixed position chrome bowl. Left and right specific. Drivers is remote control. Passengers is not. Bowl is deeper on outer side of passengers mirror because the edge of glass sticks out farther. I have seen the left rally mirror on a right door. It tilts inward toward the door, don't look right. I imagine adjusting it for a view would have the glass sticking out catching wind too.
