Came across a duster with twin scoops that looked good. Was thinking about putting a set on my dark blue duster but not sure If I would like the way they look on my car.

Are there cheaper ones out there in case I don't like them to where I can resell and not lose alot of money??

Also, the ones I saw had chrome on the front lip. How do I find one like that or is the chrome lip just a piece clipped on to the scoops? Most I have seen don't have the chrome on them.

Thanks!!

Duster hoods are sexy as is with no need to modify them.

@Alaskan_TA I agree!! Love the subtle line in the center. But with a 500 stroker giving it some cold air helps a little in performance and cooling.

Nice thread!! I should have mentioned the car is a drag car. Have no use for air cleaner and a setup like that.

I put an aar fiberglass style hood scoop on my 73 dart. I opened up the area under the hood scoop, then I used an 18 inch pie pan, which I riveted to the air cleaner thereby making a cold air style intake. It works great. My car is a big block that sees occasional drag racing.

The original steel hoods are not made anymore, so once one is modified it just takes another one out.

Fiberglass would be a better way to go for a race car application.
