With the HUGE old outboards project, I decided to find a plug cleaner. Hell I completely had forgotten about the old "Vixen" simple little bag 'o blasters. Bought one of egag. Now I need abrasive. ?????

Harbor Freight sells all kinds of abrasive. We used glass bead.

Aluminum oxide. Remember they need to be cleaned afterwards ,to remove any trapped abrasive.
I have glass in my blast cabinet, cleaned the plugs in my old tractor,it ran way better after that. I dont make it a habit, but do whats necessary.
I use a safety pin to loosen any trapped media around the porcelain, carb cleaner and compressed air.

You could also use soda. That breaks down to mere dust and wouldn't hurt a thing if some was left on the plug.

Thanks guys I will try this. Hell I left a bunch of plugs in a bath of acetone for about 3 days they didn't even color the acetone. I was amazed---and depressed
