My 16 year old red top sits for months at a time between being used. I haven’t had a problem yet. But I keep the cable disconnected when it is sitting.

How about the idea of like another member said, using 2 batteries BUT, in a smaller size incase one fails

One bad battery will suck the power out of the other. Then the charging system will overcharge the bad battery. You need a battery isolator from a RV to make it work.

If this expensive as heck battery fails I'm calling haggerty and having the car towed home on a flatbed LOL..

Had one In my power wagon. Sales rep said it was the best battery on the market. Back in ‘02 or 03.
Company dropped them, and 1/2 way into my warranty my red top croaked. My supplier no longer carried them,no other optima dealer would touch it. They didnt sell it. So i got left high and dry.
Optima said go to local dealer. Dealer wants proof of purchase. Refused as they didnt sell it.
Optima will never get another dime out of me.

I always buy with confidence from Summit... But with that said I'm not over the moon with a 12.68v-12.70v reading...
Should be 13+13.2....

Trickle charge it for a few days. It will be fine.

But I used my Optima for about 5 years and then wouldn't hold a charge. But was never stored in the winter either. That'll kill a battery fast

Look into an Odessey battery. 34-78-PC1500
The Optima used to be really good then they were bought by Johnson Control and they started making them in Mexico.
