Unpaid tickets....I hopped a San Diego light rail 1 stop past my ticket fare and got popped at the Naval yard. I get a $12 trolley ticket and I blow it off as I'm going on a 6 month deployment in a week. About 4 months into the float my First Sergeant call me in and reams me for not paying it and I get a week of 0-200 firewatch...plus the $60 ticket taken out of my next paycheck. The long arm of the law is very long. I just hope I don't ever get pulled over in Mexico! Walked (well, I actually ran!) out of the Ensenada drunk tank telling the officer in charge I had to use the bathroom that was at the other end of the hall so he unlocks the door and walks me to the bathroom. I composed myself in the bathroom for about 10 minutes, walked back out and sat quietly on a bench in front of the watch desk. Guy didnt even lift his head....The longest 3 minutes of my life. I casually got up and walked out the front door...took 2 steps and then dead sprint down the street turning the first corner, turning the 2nd corner and literally dove head first into the back window of a cab and told him to get me to my place fast for a big tip. The jailers took all my cash so I had to get the money from my sleeping friends who lost me the night before. True story, but the watch guy probably let me go or else I would have been chased (I didnt ever look back)...I think that's the last time I was south of Tijuana.

Lol, yep I remember Dad telling me that, he was one for 8 years. I'll have to dig up a pic. Lol he lied about having grade 12 to get in to Police College. I remember getting to sit on the Harley cop bike.
RIP Dad.
We used to call them "Ontario Potato Pickers" when I was a young punk living in Manitoba.

dont run more then two toll booths in illinois either

i ran one once, and figured id pay it over the phone when i got home
needless to say, forgot about it, and 3 weeks later i got a letter in the mail with a fine for all 3 that i missed...including 2 from 5 years ago i had COMPLETELY forgotten about
