Does anyone have a photo of a CORRECT ORIGINAL factory fuel tank sending unit for a 74 Duster 225? It's part number 3621615. Must be the original one from your car. I need to replace mine, but the Taiwanese junk being sold out there isn't correct and they never read correctly. Looking for an NOS one if it's available. Thanks.

There was a thread awhile back, someone on egag is selling van? senders that have the "more correct" sender resistor

All senders unless you have find an OEM NOS have the wrong sender resistance. They are linear rather than the "taper" that was in the OEM ones.

I'll try and post a picture of mine from a 74 Dart tomorrow.

Here's the 74 Dart one.

Yes, it's the OEM unit that came with the car. I was a F4E and F111E crewchief. A&P school in NC a long time ago. Since retired.

I do as well. They do great work on dashes and instruments for Mark Worman.

I wish I hadn't remove my original one and tossed it.:BangHead:

I had no idea the aftermarket units where junk, I have since installed x2 chop stick built senders with the same results. With 4-5 gallons of fuel my gauge barley moves the needle off empty. But hey they read correct with a full tank.

They are like a broken clock, in that its correct twice per day. It unbelievable any place could sell something that doesn't work. For the record my original functioned as it should before the float cracked.

That's too bad Dennis. I wish I never thew mine away with the tank. I had no idea that the aftermarket ones now are all linear resistance and won't work the the stock fuel gauge. Hard lesson.
