Some clarification on this new balancer please?

Mine was slightly less scratched but looked basically the same. It didn't bother me that much because I took a sharp old drill bit (or maybe file, I don't remember lol) and scraped a visible line from the center of the hub out to the edge of the outer ring so I could check periodically if the outer hub has slipped at all. Just because I'm running it doesn't mean I fully trust it to hold up forever, heard so many stories about junky aftermarket dampers by now.

I’m thinking I may go with this balancer for my externally balanced 360..The OE replacement Pioneer balancer doesn’t fit tight into my crank snout...

Other than scratched paint, all is good for you?
Hi. So far it is. If I was going to buy one again I would buy the ATI one. I dont like the timing marks on the prw one. To me the smaller marks need to go all way to the edge of the balancer. The 32 34 etc marks to me are too short.

I got one of those dampers a little over a year ago and it was frustrating figuring out which weight went with which engine, nothing in the box or on the Summit site about it. I had to dig around the web for the PRW catalog to finally find it, no one on FABO had run one on a 5.9L Magnum yet at that time. What a stupid pain in the butt lol.
Sorry I missed you asking about them, mine came with instructions, I put the mag engine together in 2013. Actually I still have the box and the extra weights with the instructions.

Thank you. Makes sense on those timing marks. However, at this time I’m not willing to spend 300 or so on one for this build. It’s just a 360 stock crank and rods. 10.5 hypereutectic piston, mild cam. Maybe I’ll try the one Johnny at blueprint has.

I bought the PRW one because I wanted one that was SFI rated for dragracing. This one would be fine for a daily driver I think. But also I wasn't to impressed with the finish. I thought it was powerd coated. But I think its just painted. I was useing a paint pin to white out the TDC mark on the blancer. I got a little white paint out side the TDC mark. So I took a paper towel with a very little shot of brake clean on it. I barley touch the balancer and it took the black paint off it.
