Shipping torsion bars

Kim one thing I always do is attach the to and from and phone information to the part in case it does come out of the packaging. That way they can contact you or forward it to its destination.

I sometimes do just that. But most of the time the buyer won’t give me their phone number. I tell them that it’s for getting ahold of them incase their is a problem with the delivery. I once had a package shipped back because the shipper couldn’t find the addy. He was 2 blocks over. A week back to me then a week back to them with the postage again. Thanks. Kim

I have this style and the hole is .750...while the hex on a torsion bar is 1.25. Im not sure if it could take the hex unless you split the noodle and use it as a wrap? I was thinking that they would not slide in but slicing down the side and wrapping the bars with them would make more sense.

What I did was: put foam tape around the hex. Then shrink wrapped each one. Then zip tied them together. Then shrink wrapped then together. Got a sturdy box and stuffed the ends and die
An the sides with HD plastic. Taped them really well. They don’t move in the box at all. Thanks for all the idea’s. Kim

JMO, lots of overthinking in this one.

Tape them together, roll them in two rounds of cardboard, tape the snot out of them and ship it. Sold probably 20+ sets over the years, haven't had an issue arise.

I think I actually used the UPS simple rate to ship in the US and it was maybe $20. Going cross border is gonna suck.

Thanks. $60.00 or a little more to any of the lower 48 states

More and more of that this year. I have their info so u know what that means. Kim
I hear you. It is getting harder and harder to take folks at their word. Pretty soon no-one will package anything until the money is in the bank.

I bought a pair from someone on here IIRC and he just wrapped them up in a couple layers of bubble wrap and shipped them. And they traveled just fine. I'd think it would take a blow well beyond anything they could potentially be subjected to in the back of a ups truck to damage them.
