Any of you that have done a restoration or project, what order process did you do... What did you do first...body, interior, engine etc...?

I completely strip down the car, bag and tag all items, I would do body first, suspension and all lines, then install drivetrain and lastly the interior
I will add, IF you need interior, ORDER it now, as Legendary is so far behind. If you want a driving car in the forseeable future, go ahead and send the engine out for machining, send the trans to a shop unless you will tackle it. A lot depends on your cash flow, amount of room to work, store parts taken off and goals.

Don't make the mistake I made. Do NOT throw anything away until you finished with the project.

Beyond bag and tag take pictures. Lots of them you're not going to remember and of course like previously stated don't get rid of anything until the car is driving and done...
That's what I do for a living...

My case I work with limited space so, I usually try to get the car stripped, do the engine and transmission then, get the engine compartment painted so, I can get the drivetrain back in so its mobile. Then the rest of the body and paint then, interior.

Take pictures of everything that you may not remember how it goes back (clips ,wiring ,ect:) and any crayon and or factory markings you may want to duplicate.

This depends on the state of the vehicle you start with. I suggest getting it running and driving first. Enjoy her for a bit, make an attachment. Then go after her by chunks. Like if a quarter needs replacing. Do those. Don't fall in to the trap of stripping her down spending 5 to 7 years and well over 15K making her absolutely perfect before you get to enjoy her. I would estimate over 70% of projects end up this way, not getting finished by the guy that started it and had to sell it for a song. Don't be that guy!

Now, if you have the time, the space, the money, some technical knowledge, tools, US, and a bunch of friends. Forget everything I said and lets see some pictures.

Makes PERFECT sense..! I wanted to get the body and paint done first thing...but, as I'm waiting for "help" from friends who can do that, I'm too impatient.. I've just about got the interior finished(waiting on slow shipping)..New wheels and tires are on and I'm ready to cruise with original paint, patina, dents, imperfections and all... So, I am going to put the interior in, get my pistol grip fabricated onto my 3 speed and enjoy...

I cut out rust, do the patch panel thing, either buy or fab, grind down welds treat those welds with acid, neutralize, epoxy prime those areas, seal with a urethane primer. IF I can get it running/driving all the better to enjoy I clean eng compartment, jams, trunk ares, under side of hood and trunk lid, prime and paint those. Interior last/ But int. can be sealed off,or better, take it out. If windshield needs to come out, any times easier to do headliner if out. Depends on model. Suspension is always a PIA so I put that off as long as safe. Just time and money I usually have way more time!

You only make that mistake once. I have a pile of junk in the driveway until the car is done an on the road working flawlessly
