Stopped my a shop today. Thinking about a home shotgun. I don't want some fancy militarized pistol grip "thing" just maybe shortened barrel past the mag tube, 12 ga, "can" handle slugs. This guy has something called an Akkar Churchill 12ga pump. Reviews are slim what I could find. Opinions?

Synthetic stock like this

sure looks like a shot gun to me

cant say ive ever heard of the brand

I took a Remington 870 20 gauge, added a Pachmeyer pistol grip & pump grip. I also got a 2 shot magazine extension & slug barrel, I took the plug out. It holds 7 rounds total & is a sweet shooting gun from the hip.

I own a shop here in Massachusetts, I’ve sold many of those good shotgun for the money they are made in turkey a lot of people don’t know it, but turkey is one of the largest manufacturers of firearms in the world

Shoot bird shot inside house. It will blow a big hole in someone in the same room as you and might not kill your love one in the next room. A slug will go thur the wall an still kill your love one!

Well I didn't say I "was" or "always was" gonna use slugs. I actually wasn't going to buy ANYTHING until Oh'Bob-Bidet and the crew came along

Well girls the search goes on. I went up and bought that POS, and in about an hour I was back getting a refund. The boss's wife gave me the usual, "it's new" bla bla desi blishi, the owner came along and said "no problem"

Cycled (did not fire) about 30 rounds of 2 brands and sizes. Jams about 1/3. GREATLY aggravated if you point the barrel downhill a bit. It will jam both on extraction and on new round "going in."

some other points not good:

1....The trigger has a fair amount of side to side movement and this is such (if you play) that only about 1/16 or maybe 1/8 of movement of the safety block will allow the thing to fire. This is before the safety gets to the detent

2....Let's say you were unloading it and somehow got onto the trigger. Let's say the bolt is open maybe 1/4"? so the shell is against the bolt held by the extractor. THE PIN WILL FIRE and that can not be good.

The search goes on...............

Mossberg 590. One and done.

Except nobody HAS them. The ammo shelves are pretty bare, as well.

Have a Saiga 12 GA, love it. Basically a 12 ga AK47. 5 round and 10 round clip and just for fun a 20 round drum. Use it for skeet and home defence.very reliable.

I would say gun sales around here "are on a roll." Selection is poor

I have a Mossberg 702 hangin on the wall with a full 25 round mag in it and another 702 with an additional 25 round mag in it as well. They are "just" a .22 but that'll get the job done.
