Dodge vs Plymouth A Bodys.

-
What gets funny is how the early B bodies 2 and 4 doors had same floor pans? I guess in the A body, the 4 door had a longer floor pan and the rear floor area in back was longer?
BY the way Dodges are faster!

In theory they should be the same, now a Barracuda fastback might be a little different than a Barracuda coupe, how do those compare to a Dart/Scamp?

Then there is the Duster/Demon

Unless we start factoring in Sedans, that should be it, those are the only four hard tops.

Alan

While I can't bet my life on it being different from theory.
I've had both with bench seats and could tell a difference.
Maybe it's the roof.
Compare a 73 Dart to a Duster

One body style is flat and the other one is rounded .

And the frame rails, at least the front, will work from early A’s. Currently running 63 valiant rails on 67 fishy. And how come nobody has mentioned Al Bundy’s Dodge ? That’s a dodge duster he has right there.

Tony's right about those narrow rear ends. BUT, they sure work nice when you fill em out with fat tires.

And oh yeah, so I guess my wife's 72 Scamp had more rear seat leg room than my 72 Duster? Hmmm... Guess I never sat back there. Fun thread.

You are correct in 74 they did use the dart body for all a-body 4 doors. The original plymouth square back Valiants were gone after 73.
