Please help - need 360 alternator/PS pump bracketing pics

Did a dry fit to try to work it out for myself. Don’t remember the ‘extra’ hole at the bottom of the triangle bracket, but this is the only way it goes together that makes sense.

Definitely NOT the right bracket (the triangle shaped), I had similar problems with mine as it too was originally a /6 car that a po had converted to a 360. The correct bracket, as shown in Krazy Kuda's posts, is slightly curved or bent to fit behind the alternator mounting ear. The ps pump does indeed use that triangle bracket, I went through that debacle last year, the po had modified the original /6 pump brackets to fit, I got a full correct set along with along with the pump from a 360.

here ya go.

No matter how many times he has been told that he has the p/s triangle bracket on the alternator he still refuses to put it on the p/s so he can have that problem solved. Then he can work on the alt to get it right. He asked for help and when he gets it he totally ignores it. What is wrong with ppl? Kim

FU and maybe re-read the thread and reconsider being a dick. There is always at least one of you. My issues have nothing to do with the the PS bracketing. I have a new PS bracket set complete with the triangle bracket. My issues were with the rigged alternator bracketing that was installed by the previous owner and not having any reference to sort out what is correct and should be on there for the alternator. I did not ignore any feedback and ordered the right parts once I was able to determine what was needed, using the helpful comments everyone else provided.

Does anyone have or could take a picture(s) of a stock 360 LA alternator bracket setup? The car ('72 Duster, originally a slant 6) does not have A/C, but does have power steering. My phone crashed and lost all of the pre-disassembly pics I took. I’m trying to work out how it all goes back together before I start sealing timing cover and water pump gaskets. Google basically shows me aftermarket bracketing which is no help. Below is how it looks on the bench. It is the triangle bracket that has me a little stumped because the holes line up several ways. I could also really use some pics of the power steering pump bracketing. I'm installing a new Saginaw pump and the pic included with the part doesn't show how it interfaces with the timing cover. Thanks!!

Here's a picture of a mid-70's 360 with A/C that matches the same 'curved' alternator bracket in your picture....

I circled the bracket like yours in red, and the front compressor bracket in yellow that has the hole for the pivot bolt for the alternator....

Wow you're a special kind of asshole kimmer. No big surprise you didn't admit you were completely wrong in the first place. I appreciate it when you guys let me know who to block.
*and is usually the case with you keyboard warriors, I'll point out that it's "you're" not "your".

There it is. Makes a whole bunch more sense now that I have the correct alternator bracketing. What the previous owner did was rig it with a curved alternator support from an A/C car and the triangle bracket from the PS pump. Hillbilly engineering at its best. I’ll give him this, it all worked lol. But now it’s the way it should be. Well almost. This is another dry fit. Now I have to pull it all back apart, prep the gaskets, and put it all back together with sealed bolts and hope nothing leaks. No easy feat I’m sure with this puzzle.

A huge thank you once again to everyone who helped me figure this out with comments and pictures. Everyone except oldkimmer of course.
