Any brackets or lenses needed if I swap out a '65 front and rear bumper for a '66?

I have never tried the fronts. They may be similar. The rears are completely different between the two years. You will need the 1966 rear brackets, bumper and rig some wiring for the back up lights. (they are in the tail lights in a 65 and in the bumper in the 66). Also 66 doesn't use a valance under the bumper.

I'd like to see the outcome. You would need the lower valances. Something for front turn signals and reverse lights on the rear. To start with!

Sorry I started this before your post but walked away for a few.

As toolmanmike said fronts may be similar between the 2. Will they interchange, IDK for sure - don’t have a 66 bumper and brackets to try it. Parking lights are different.

I had the 66 next to my 65 before I sold the 66, and many things are different, the valance in front among other things. the rear brackets are totally different as mentioned.

As toolmamike said, the rear will probably fit changing what he said. But the front I am not sure of, you would have to lose the front valance and get the bumper, brackets, and turn signals from a 66. The big problem with the front is the 66 front fenders are scalloped for bumper clearance and come down lower. The 65 are not, so I don't think they will fit or if they did they would not look right with the shape off the 65 fenders.

I'd love to see if this works. I've often looked at the back of my 65 and thought the bumper does not look right. I think the thicker 66 bumper would look better.
