When HRP was built, it was out in the middle of nowhere, racing was going at least 2-3 nights a week & the Pros tested there on a regular basis. Suddenly new home construction started & it was downhill from there. When the Angel family bought out the Gay family, it was just a matter of time before it all went to hell in a basket. Once upon a time HRP had a circle track close to the drag strip. The circle track went away & a warehouse facility was built, as soon as the price of real estate began to rise again, everyone was watching to see what was going to happen.
